"Back-in-the-Saddle-Again" on the Silver Comet Trail
Sunday, November 7, 2010,
10:45AM (Eastern Standard Time)
Remember to set your clocks BACK one hour on Sat night
Leaders - Hank Aldort, 770-312-4333, aldorth@bellsouth.net and Wendy Lipshutz, 404-518-4421
We'll shoot for the Pumpkinvine Trestle (milepost 23.02) from the start at Floyd Road (milepost 4.2). Doing the math, that makes close enough to 39 miles to qualify. Assuming the weather cooperates, this time of year should be both scenic and invigorating
Each year, our leader Hank has been trying to add a mile for each year on earth. Last year though, only two of us made the Route 66 sixty plus mile run. So this year, rather than a 67 mile trek, we will do one commemorating the proverbial age of 39 only - that should open the field to many more folks who have attained chronological perpetuity! No excuses!
Saddle Up for the Silver Comet - 11/7
Want to hike, skate or just do a shorter ride? Email the leader, and please watch the calendar for options.
